The Clean Water Act prohibits discharging pollutants, including concrete wash waste, into our water sources. Historically, there has been little policing of this policy. In recent years, however, the EPA and an increasing number of state agencies and municipalities have begun enforcing regulations on concrete washout waste, motivated by environmental conscientiousness as well as revenues generated by fees.
